A bit of a mess

Well, this isn't turning out as planned. After I painted the whole thing a very questionable yellow, I tried doing the glaze thing with the green. I don't like it. It's not as see thru as I thought it would be. So then I thought I would blob paint on and blod it around with a can of air.

Which I like the effect of but I ran out of air. So till I get another can or inspiration strikes, this one is on the back burner.
This is a deer skull I cleaned and painted as a thank you to the processor who gives me skulls. I wonder what it says about me that doing skulls is one of my favorite things to do? I am waiting with baited breath for the mail today. My friend Val, the Queen of Texture, and I did a private swap. We each did a background and sent it to the other. Then we added to each others work. I can't wait to see what she did, and to own a piece of her work.
Peace

Well, I am already the proud and grateful owner of a piece of your work. Lucky me, I'm so thrilled! just sent you an email about it. Suffice it to say in this post that it's just AWESOME, friend. When I post it on my blog, I will be the envy of so many people!

Regarding this piece of yours, I really like it so far. I like the whole idea and what you've done. Sometimes it's good to set art aside, and let the ideas percolate, and then come back to it. I've done that on occasion too, and was happy I did.

I'm excited to see what you do with this, and how it ends up.
At this point, it's kind of a mystery and holds my attention, as in suspense. And suspense is good.

I consider you, my friend, to be one of the MOST innovative, avant garde artists I know. I always look forward to seeing your art, and what new art and ideas you've come up with. I so admire your art, and how distinctive and unique it is, how YOU it is, and it keeps me coming back to your blog for more. You always inspire me! And that is a very, very good thing.

Now, the really great thing is, I actually OWN a piece of your beautiful art. It's all mine, to keep and admire and enjoy. And there's no other art just like it on the planet. What could be better than that???

How lucky are you - but I am going to be lucky too, Val and I are going to be doing a private swap some time soon.. she is so great with texture and the materials she uses blow me away.
You on the other hand my dear are the Queen of Skulls and I have missed visiting your blog - been in a rut but out of it now.
Did you get the dollars I sent you?
Hugs xxx

Hey Mary when you run out of canned air you can get a straw and blow the paint around (I know you haven't run out of air...well hot air anyway...lol)

I would do a lot of skulls also if they were as awesome as yours...so keep up the great art with the skulls...you do an incredible job with them.
