This shot shows his feet which I added claws to. They came from my really old cat who sheds them on a regular basis. I don't know why but he does. And being me, I save them His head is made from the Devils Claw my buddy Rose sent me from Arizona. Truly weird stuff. I gave him red garnet eyes.
All told he stands just short of a foot in height. I decorated his base with a bunch of stones I pried from old costume jewelry. I really love the skull bead. The crystals towards his tail are also from Rose. She collected them for me. Rose, you rock!!
Sprinkled around the jewels are micron beads from Fire Mountain. The base is a slab of agate I use for a weight when I'm working. But it seemed like it needed to be used for this. So I'll just have to go outside and find a rock to use for weight instead.
Hope you like him.
Peace

I love yur work. The use of objects that are not the norm (cute, fuzzy, typical, etc) inspires me!
I am so glad you are back. I love this new piece. A friend just delivered to me a whole feed sack of devil's claws, I had mentioned last year I was looking for some. Also please stop by my blog as I am passing on an award to you.
Just an awesome piece of creativity! I just luv it!
AWESOME!!
That is so imaginative. Looks like it belongs in a museum.
Mary - Wonderful work!
This is SO COOL!!
I love it.
I keep my kitty's claws too. In the box where I keep my girls' teeth and locks of hair. And, until now this has been a family secret, but I think you can handle it, their umbilical stumps. They're all wrapped up, mumified, if you will, and sealed in plastic bags. So, yeah, don't tell anyone, ok?
Come over to my blog, I've passed on an award to you.
